GOAL
To provide a league for small Christian and Private schools in Florida with an opportunity to compete in various sports, activities, and events.
PHILOSOPHY
Florida Christian Association of Private and Parochial Schools (FCAPPS) is a Christian-based organization that encourages all member schools to put God first and to promote Christian values and principles to student athletes. We do not promote any particular denomination, but the Word of God. We believe that coaches and staff should feel free to pray for and with the student athletes at anytime in accordance with their school beliefs and/or policies. This includes both pre-game and post-game prayer.
We do not believe in bringing lawsuits against our brothers in Christ. We adhere to the Biblical principles found in Matthew 18:15 - 17 and I Corinthians 6:1 - 8 (Brothers sinning against brothers and Lawsuits among believers). We feel it is our Christian duty to resolve all matters among the membership.
MISSION STATEMENT
To provide a sports program for small private high schools giving students the opportunity to experience spiritual, mental, physical, and social growth and development.
Coaches will be able to use football to teach leadership, sportsmanship, and Biblical principles. In addition, the athletes will learn self-discipline and self-motivation, and will develop the desire to do one's best. Our overall mission is to use football and other sports activities as a means to glorify God and bring others to Christ.
PRAYER DOCTRINE
Our membership is open to any school who shares our beliefs, values, and principles or those who are willing to follow our rules and policies. Students and fans may be exposed to the Word of God, Christian music, tracks and flyers, and prayer.
At the conclusion of all FCAPPS games, events, and activities the teams/participants, will meet for a short prayer to give thanks for the safety of all participants, a speedy recovery for any injuries, and safe passage traveling home. This group prayer is the heart of our program. It should be taken seriously and with reverence to our Lord.
Sports is not just a game, it’s a time for ministry.
